Grey nuns residence
Just one Métro stop (or a ten-minute walk) away from Dawson, Concordia University has beautiful facilities in its Grey Nuns Residence. Built in 1871 and refurbished by Concordia for student housing, the residence is the former home to Montreal's Grey Nuns. Guests at the residence would enjoy a private garden, accessible only from within the building, which also happens to include a crypt in its basement where 276 Grey Nuns have their resting place. (The crypt is not accessible to guests, but the site features weekly guided tours in the summer.) The Grey Nuns Residence is not only close to Dawson, but is in the centre of downtown.
If there is enough interest, the group would be housed in the same wing. Conference rates would be 10% off the already very affordable regular room rates (as below). Conferees wishing to stay longer could extend their stay at the same 10% discount rate per day as below.
